Sakura Shrimp Sticky Rice

Sakura Shrimp Sticky Rice

Cooking Sauce:

2 tablespoon HD Shallot Sauce;

1 tablespoon KL Soy Sauce;

1 tablespoon EF Black Sesame Oil;

Some TM Tasty Pepper Salt;

1 teaspoon sugar.


Fresh Ingredients:

2 cup long glutinous rice;

20g mushrooms;

200g minced pork;

20g sakura shrimps;

Some coriander leaves;

Some old ginger slices.




Step 1: Soak the long glutinous rice for at least 2 hours. The amount of the water is suggested to be double of the rice.

Step 2: Strain the water and steam the long glutinous rice in the steamer basket with full flames for 40 minutes.

Step 3: Soak the mushrooms and cut them into thin strips. Keep the water for soaking mushrooms. Wash the old ginger and strip it; wash the coriander leaves and sakura shrimps.

Step 4: Heat a pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil; stir-fry the sakura shrimps for later use.

Step 5: Use the black sesame oil to stir-fry old ginger strips until golden.

Step 6: Add mushroom and minced pork; stir-fry them with old ginger strips. Add soy sauce, sugar, pepper salt, and 3 tablespoons of water, which was used for soaking mushrooms previously.

Step 7: Add the cooked long glutinous rice into the sauce. Mix it with 2 tablespoons of shallot sauce and sakura shrimps.

Step 8: Steam the rice in the steamer basket with full flames for 20 minutes.

Step 9: Lastly, sprinkle the coriander leaves on the rice.
