Yam with BBQ Chicken Fillet

Cooking Sauce: 

2 tablespoon HD BBQ Sauce;

1 tablespoon KL Soy Sauce;

1 teaspoon EF Sesame Oil;

1 tablespoon corn flour.


Fresh Ingredients

150g fresh yam;

90g red, yellow, and green peppers (30g each);

2g spring onion,

2g garlic,

1 egg.



Step 1:  Mince spring onion and garlic, and cut red, yellow, and green peppers into strips.

Step 2: Peel yams (wearing gloves when peeling is suggested to prevent your skin from itching caused by the mucilage) and cut it into 4cm long thin strips.

Step 3: Cut chicken breast into 7cm long thin strips, mix it with an egg, use 1/3 of the chicken breast stirring it with corn flour and soy sauce, and then marinade it for at least 10 minutes. 

Step 4: Heat the oil in a pan until it is 125 °C and fry the chicken for about 20 seconds.

Step 5: Heat some oil in another pan, stir fry minced spring onion and garlic first, and then stir strips of yam, fried chicken, and peppers together.

Step 6: Add BBQ sauce and sesame oil and stir fry until they are cooked.
